Farewell Dr. Lauren VanCitters!

This is our last week with Dr. Lauren VanCitters at Beacon Physical Therapy, please help us say farewell before she embarks on her next venture in the South Bay Area. We have been so fortunate to have Lauren with us since 2015 and appreciate everything she has done for us and her patients over the last seven years.

We are celebrating Lauren and her last week with us by featuring her in our blog this week. Lauren graduated with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of California, San Francisco/San Francisco State University and shortly after, she completed a residency in Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF) at an acute rehabilitation facility. Lauren then went on to become a Certified Functional Manual Therapist (CFMT) through the Institute of Physical Art, as well as becoming a specialist in pelvic floor physical therapy. Lauren is not only a talented and a skillful physical therapist, but she is also an accomplished runner with a personal marathon record of 2:49:58 and half marathon personal record of 1:23:05.

  1. What will you miss most about San Francisco and Beacon PT? Definitely the people. I’m going to miss all my co-workers and all the incredible patients I’ve had the opportunity to work with at Beacon over the years.

At Beacon, we have enjoyed watching Lauren’s training and dedication to both honing her craft as a physical therapist and her running career. We will surely miss having Lauren at Beacon PT and cherish all the memories we have made.
